GERMAN SHEPHERD AT HEEL W STEVE - Dog Training in Portland, OR
Steve teaching Wolfgang how to focus
Over half the dogs I see need help with unwanted behaviors. Dog and people aggression are two of the biggest issues many dog owners face.
Other common problems include: destruction of personal items and property, unable to housebreak, separation anxiety, and so on. These problems are symptoms of dogs who are out of balance at home and with their families.
The owners of these dogs may be unknowingly contributing to some of this behavior. At the Canine Classroom, these problems are addressed daily. With some obedience training, dog therapy, and owner education, you'll see major improvements in just a few weeks.
Dog training is not about punishing your dog for bad behavior; it's about replacing positive behavior for unwanted behavior. By effectively teaching your dog what is expected, we help you establish rules and guidelines for the dog to live by. When you are in charge, we can teach the dog what type of behavior is allowed and what is not.
"Many dog owners come through our door frustrated to the point of considering giving up their dog. Often, we are able to show them (during the Free Evaluation) that their dog is highly trainable and responsive to our methods."
The Canine Classroom in Portland Oregon is the last stop for some of these dogs, which is why nearly a dozen veterinarians refer their clients to us for help.
I look forward to working with you and your dog!
