I would say that at least half of the dogs that come into my office need help with some sort of unwanted behavior. Dog and people aggression are two of the biggest issues that dog owners face. Other behavioral problems include: destruction of personal items and property, dogs that are not housebroken, separation anxiety, and so on. These problems are symptoms of dogs that are out of balance at home and with their family. The owners of these dogs may be unknowingly creating some of this behavior in their pets. At The Canine Classroom, I deal with these problems daily. With some obedience training, dog therapy, and owner education, we usually see major improvement in just a few weeks.
This is not about punishing the dog for bad behavior; it’s about replacing good responses for bad ones. This is about establishing rules and guidelines for the dog to live with you. If the human is in charge we can show the dog what type of behavior we will allow him to exhibit with us. I can teach you how to do this. Most people come through my door saying “We either straighten him out or I’m getting rid of him!”
I am the last stop for some of these dogs. That’s why almost a dozen veterinarians refer their clients to me for help.
I look forward to helping you with your dog!
Sincerely,
